Our Story

It all began with an act of kindness during WWII that created a ripple effect of compassion across generations and countries.

Our founder's mother, Sophie, was abandoned as a child and left in poverty to be raised by her grandmother in a small Polish village. With WWII ravaging their town, Sophie and her grandmother struggled to survive, often lacking even basic necessities like food and clothes.

That's when a neighboring family, Danka's family, took Sophie and her grandmother in. They provided the care, resources and support that offered a lifeline during such a bleak time. Their selflessness and generosity gave Sophie hope for a better future.

Decades later, after Sophie immigrated to America in 1958 with just one suitcase, the Founder still experiences that same benevolence firsthand from Danka's family back home. They have continued to give back to those in need in their community.

Inspired by these acts of compassion spanning generations and oceans, we founded our non-profit to pay that kindness forward. Over the past 17 months, we've sent over 2,600 pounds of aid to displaced Ukrainian families in Poland and Ukraine with help from other caring individuals.

Through our mission to connect displaced individuals and families with essential resources, now we help those here in America, like Sophie once was.  We provide them with basic necessities, language skills, job training and a compassionate community. This gives them the foundation to move forward independently and confidently, just as Danka's family did for Sophie decades ago.

Will you help us continue this legacy of life-changing kindness started decades ago? Your donation will help a refugee family, individual displaced by conflict, someone made permanently homeless, or any person needing immediate life assistance to plant roots and find hope for a brighter future.

Join us to keep the ripple going. Together, we can make a difference.
